Bespoke Elected Member Programmes
We offer a wide range of bespoke programmes tailored to the needs of organisations and individuals, which include:
Developing Scrutiny - we can offer a variety of workshops to assist members understand and develop their scrutiny roles.
Appraisal and Personal Development - we work with members and officers to devise and implement appraisal and personal development systems that offer the challenge and support needed to achieve effective development whilst acknowledging their position as elected councillors and members of party groups. As part of this process we can offer appropriate team-building, coaching and leadership development activities and programmes.
Partnership Working - with so much of local government now being delivered through partnerships we can help elected members and others explore this area and develop their skills.
Developing Officer-Member working - we can design and deliver programmes to help officers and members gain a greater understanding of each other's roles and the alleviate tensions.
Political Leadership - we can offer senior councillors, cabinet committees, senior officers and political groups the opportunity to explore leadership issues, understand the types of leadership needed in different situations and develop new leadership skills.
