William is a highly experienced organisational consultant and executive coach. William has worked as a Principal Consultant with the Tavistock Consultancy Service and was former Chair of the Consulting to Institutions Workshop. He trained as a psychotherapist at the Tavistock Centre and has taught at the Tavistock and other training organisations. He has consulted to chief executives, senior managers, top teams and frontline staff in a variety of fields including health, education, police, Territorial Army, food, construction, utilities, financial and legal services.
In particular he has extensive experience of executive coaching with headteachers and deputies as well as delivering leadership development for middle managers, for example he has provided coaching and work discussion groups for heads of year. His experience includes career consultation, mediation work, personal development programmes and experiential learning in organisational behaviour. He has directed many residential group relations conferences in UK and Spain, and worked as a staff member in Israel, Denmark and Italy.
